OK, since no one's started a topic, I've decided to start one on how I started on the site, and owning it.
WARNING: THIS WILL BE LONG!
So you know how I'm the new owner at Dress Like Selena. I became the owner of it on July 11, and it's been more than a month now. When I applied to become the owner of the site, I was SO excited! I couldn't wait to start working on it. But then I got an e-mail from my host, saying that I was accepted! When I got that, I was really happy. But then, I got nervous. I have never ran a style site before, all of my sites have been fan sites. So, I wasn't sure if I could run it. Plus, I've never ran a website that receives more than 2000 visitors per day! So I waited a couple of days, and I then decided to update the site and let them know that I am the new owner. That went OK. I started to wait for my order of the new layout, and got nothing for more than 2 weeks. I wasn't sure how long people were waiting. So it took a while, and I then decided to ask someone to make me a layout. Then Shannon from Taylor Trends made me a layout and I got it opened a couple of days after. Now I'm not nervous to run this site anymore. I'm glad that I applied. Running the site is much easier than I thought since I have so many people donating before I could start on the requests.
Well, that's my story of how I started Dress Like Selena. I really love running the site! I get so many nice compliments from people and people help me out. That's a really nice thing. Thanks to YOU, Dress Like Selena will be kept opened. But the domain will expire in October, but I'll ask my host to renew it since it's hers.
I've wondered, how long have you been visiting Dress Like Selena? How was it like? I started visiting Dress Like Selena in June. I was going to apply for it in June, but the owner before me, Derek, already had it. I never really visited style sites until how. Style sites are something new. I think I should stop typing now before it gets turned into a book. Lol, well, be sure to answer the questions!
